Individual Assignment: PSA RADIO (Ramadhan Month)

 Peace be upon you.

 Here is the script for the individual assignment which is a PSA for radio. It requires a synopsis, a full script and duration is 60 seconds. The theme given was the holy month for Muslims, Ramadhan Al-Mubarak.

Synopsis
A man (SYAWAL) falls asleep on top of his desk while doing his work because he woke up past his morning alarm. His boss wakes him up and asked whether he took his suhoor or not earlier. Then, his boss advise him to take suhoor and suggests some good meals to take for suhoor to make him be more energetic during work.

SFX: Man yawning—snoring.

Hey, Syawal, wake up!

SFX: Man awakes from the sleep.
“Oh no, I must’ve fallen asleep. Please forgive me, boss.”

“Hmm, you look tired. Did you take your suhoor earlier?”

“No, I missed my suhoor because I had too much foods for breaking fast yesterday.”

“Aha, no wonder! You do know that suhoor is important for you to keep energize for the rest of the day, right?”

“Yes, I do, boss, but sometimes I barely had an idea on what to eat during suhoor.”

“Oh, you can just take a simple meal like oatmeal, smoothies, paratha wraps, or rice porridge as well! Oh, oh, if you’re still lazy, you can just have fruits. That would be suffice for you to be productive for the whole day.”

“Wow, I never know all these before. Thank you for telling me boss. I appreciate it.”

“No big deal, now go wash your face and get back to work. Or else, -- you might need to find another job.”

“Uh,oh, right away, boss!”

Tan Sri Jins Shamsudin I grew up watching the late P Ramlee’s movies. Tan Sri Jins Shamsudin had first caught my eyes through his acting as the antagonist in Sergeant Hassan together with P Ramlee. So, I’ve watched several films directed by him and I have tried to break down several elements from the Auteur Theory. In most of his films, I noticed that he always had the same theme such as family bond, love, and sacrifices. For example, in his early creations like his first “newborn”— Bukan Salah Ibu Mengandong (1969). He also always instilled a character with disability such as a character with blindness, broken-legged, cancer patient, emotional-pain, and few more.   Although those characters have disabilities, I think he successfully made a big impact out of all those characters.
